1. What is Stein Collection?

Stein Collection consists of seven luxury brands: Stein Eriksen Lodge, Stein Eriksen Residences, Luxury Homes by Stein Collection, The Chateaux Deer Valley, and The Residences at The Chateaux Deer Valley comprise the world-class properties. Stein Eriksen Realty Group is our boutique, luxury brokerage. Stein Eriksen Estates is our joint partnership private residential development project with the renowned Huntsman family. Each entity offers its own unique experience while providing legendary service to each and every guest.

2. Who was Stein Eriksen?

Born in Oslo, Norway on December 11, 1927, Stein was charted as the first male alpine ski racer from outside the Alps to win an Olympic gold medal. While still racing for Norway, Stein moved to the United States in 1954. Stein Eriksen Lodge embraces his vision of the world’s best hotel at the world’s best ski resort. The Lodge was constructed and opened in1982, just one year after Deer Valley Resort opened. 4. How far is Deer Valley Resort from each property?

Stein Collection offers ski-in/ski-out access at both Stein Eriksen Lodge and Stein Eriksen Residences. Simultaneously, The Chateaux Deer Valley and The Residences at The Chateaux Deer Valley are merely a short walk through Silver Lake Village to mid-mountain lift access at Deer Valley Resort. Our world-class properties are located in the heart of Deer Valley to give our guests premier mountain access.

5. How far away are Stein Collection properties from Salt Lake City International Airport?

Salt Lake City International Airport is a quick and easy 40-minute ride to all of our properties. Guests can arrange various transportation options to and from the airport with our concierge team, including a private car, shared van service, taxi, Lyft, or Uber. Rental car options are also available at the airport, but our mountain town doesn’t require an individual car for most guest needs.

6. What is the deposit/cancellation policy at the properties?

The deposit and cancellation policies may vary by property, season, or specific holiday periods. Please review the individual property websites, as these policies are subject to change. 

7. Can I access the Forbes 5-Star rated Spa at Stein Eriksen Lodge if I am staying at another property?

Yes, guests have access to Utah’s finest Forbes Five-Star spa with a reservation for a spa treatment. There is an age restriction in The Spa. Please review all of our spa policies before visiting The Spa. Please visit The Spa online or call to book all treatments in advance: (855) 544-7360

8. What winter activities are there outside of skiing?

The Deer Valley area and Park City offer many activities outside of skiing during every season. For the winter months, guests can participate in such activities as ice skating, snowmobiling, dog sledding, sleigh rides, and snowshoeing. During the warmer spring, summer, and fall months, guests have the options to go hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fly fishing, play golf, ride in a hot air balloon, visit Utah’s Olympic Park, and much more. 

9. What kind of dining is available at your properties?

Stein Collection takes great pride in all of the services offered at each property, including dining options. From award-winning restaurants to more laid-back apres-ski lounges, Stein Collection offers a range of culinary experiences for everyone. 10. Is there a dress code at any Stein Collection restaurant?

The dress code for each of the highly-acclaimed onsite restaurants is mountain casual. This allows our guests to come in for drinks or dine straight from the mountain any time of the year, whether boots and ski jackets in the winter or shorts and sundresses in the summer.
